1990 Firebird Formula 5-spd hard top with no motor right now. Going to be dropping a 305 or 350 TPI motor in it, with the T-5 tranny. It only has 102k miles on it, so it should make for a pretty decent car.



Right now it has a stand alone engine management system on it, but I'm going back to a stock setup with a third gen TPI motor. What year motors would be good for this car, and the easiest to swap in? I plan on purchasing a whole car to do the swap, but I was wondering how the camaro wiring would compare to the firebird chassis? I am trying to avoid soldering wires, and I didn't know if the plugs will be the same for a camaro computer and sensors as they will for a pontiac. Any help would be appreciated.

'90-'92 Firebird donor would be your best bet. If you get a 350, that would insure you get the "good" stuff.

 

Oh btw, this was originally a 305TBI car, though I do not know how much original wiring or anything else is there.
