First third gen!!!!! L@@K!
Well im officially psyched!
I'm getting a 89' RS on saturday. She has the V6 in it, and its going to be the official home of my brand new L98 TPI long block sitting in the shed.
I've never done a camaro swap before, so i need to know basically everything im ganna need to complete the swap.
currently, the new 350 is basically a bare long block.. no pulleys, accesories etc. Just a harmonic balancer, and the TPI setup sitting on top.
Obviously im going to need a pulley assembly, alt. etc. I'm hoping i can get the AC compressor, and power steering pump to bolt up to the V8 thats off the V6. I know i'll need a V8 bell housing to bolt up to the T5 (which i hope holds up to the stock L98). But the thing that trips me the most is the ECU and harness.
Can i use the same ecu, just get a new chip for it? Or do i need a whole ECU? Is the Body harness the same as the V8 cars or do i need a Z28 one? I know i need the engine harness.. Just hook me up with what info i can. I've searched the boards, i just like getting more on demand helpfull info.
Sorry for the long post!

I did and got some tips from it, but it isnt 'specific' on exact car, cuz im trying to find out exact detail..ya no..
Well, its an 89 RS, with the V6. main thing that i am stuck on is the ECU. Do you think i can just swap the prom, and get a engine harness from a 89 Z28/iroc with a lb9/l98 in it?
Everything else.. i will be able to figure out.. Im no geek when it comes to the EFI crap lol.

Re: First third gen!!!!! L@@K!
Found a dash harness out of an 87, and an engine harness out of a 85 on ebay.. Should i be able to use the same dash harness? Or do i need Z/Iroc one too?
Should the 85 engine harness be okay ?
