How was your launch? Do you have headers? gears? with either one of those you'd score the win. Getting back to your question, it has been asked many times before and it probably wouldn't perform as well as you hope. They displace at 262 ci. Albeit a hopped up 4.3 is really no joke. I plan on building a 4.3 powered TBI t5 4.10 geared drift camaro in the near future. From what I believe there has been a few here that has done the swap.

Re: v6 vortec

i used to own a 93 s10 blazer with the 4.3 vortec and that thing took off pretty quick i beat alot of people off the start but once there going past 50 they don't go that fast but i did have it to 130 on the freeway one time which was really stupid lol but if you have 2.73 gears in your car like me then a vortec blazer would probably win in the takeoff until we hit about 40 to 60 then i figure we would pull past.

Re: v6 vortec

yep, the gears alone would give you the win then.
