Anybody install AFRs on a big block?
I am looking into AFR heads and they have a .375 raised port , trying to see if they would work with hooker swap headers. Thanks. My engine is about to be assembled here are some pics of the parts at machine shop. Will try the "reworked" 781's (2.19/1.88) valves for a while then IN go the aluminum heads.

OK, read my post again and didn't specify for what vehicle(ofcoarse a thirdgen camaro). I'm thinking AFR heads would need custom headers.

Hooker swap headers will work with raised port heads but some modifications are required under the car to move the headers up. The headers are designed for standard heads like the 781's. As soon as you use a raised port head, things get difficult. I had Merlin oval ports on a smaller engine, 469, with the hookers and it was tight because of the raised ports.
