what needs to be done to use a 400sbc with a standard tranny ...t56? t5?

If you're using a 153 tooth flywheel, you'll probably need to drill and tap the missing starter hole, but apart from that just bolt up the right externally balanced flywheel and go.

thats it wow thank you i was it was involved and expensive due to 400 werent standard from the factory. i thought imight get some realy answers on here
