A Mopar in your Chevy? Why? You have access to a free one?

I suppose if the oil pan pick-up is towards the rear & the accessories aren't mounted so low, that they would hit the subframe, anything is possible, with enough custom fab work, like the motor mounts.

Look for a 305. Plentiful, cheap. You will need to read the "V6 to V8" sticky in the top section of this forum first. It's not a matter of unbolting the V6 and bolting in a V8, although what you need will bolt in.

I've got a 305 sitting in my garage if you're interested. Come by and pick it up. If you want the carb, I'll need a few bucks, but otherwise, it's there for the taking.

Re: can i put a 318 engine in my factory car?

I see $100 305s all the time... Or "Free...Just haul it out of my garage."

Saw a 305/700R4 on my local craigslist, free for the taking...Or look at the regional For Sale boards here on TGO. I remember seeing a complete TPI system & harness, not to long ago.

Where are you located? If you fill out your profile, it'l show us what town/state you are in, and I bet we can point you towards one.
