ZZ4 cam & heads are small for a 406.

Just my 2 cents.

Re: 406 in a 92 camaro

I would research alot of options for that 406 with tpi. You may not like what you find out. A stock tpi on a healthy 406 is not a very good match at all. the zz4 heads and cam are not good for a 406. A set of vortecs may even be too small for that ci. or at a minimum size itleast. The vortecs are probably a 40hp increase over the zz4 heads. Those heads and cam are not anything above average on a 350 but probably reliable though.

Stock the heads are too small - ported they can flow up to 260cfm with small ports for massive TQ (as if the 406 had a TQ deficit...).

Cam is too small - a roller with lots of lift and say 225/235 split duration would haul ***. Easy 450hp with perfect street manners.
