what should i use...
ok so my dream car....
i have a 1986 z28
perfect frame...
what i want to do, is create a near silent car, silent to start, silent running, and silent power
want it to be a v8. but i would like any information on how to keep it very quiet ... think of a honda civic (bad example) starts quiet... and you cant tell its running... quiet acceleration. (granted theres no power)... but you get my point...
so any suggestions for...
engine...
ignition...
starter...
transmission...
tpi or carb? ...
any other miscilanious things?
(would like it to be manual tranny)

ok engines are big air pumps to make alot of power they have to pump alot of fresh air in and alot of exhaust out so to get it real quiet u might overly restrict the exhaust killing your power...what hp goal do u have it will help to give exhaust advice on what will be quiet while still flowing enough....i can say now to stay away from flowmasters....i love mine but wow is it loud lol..this should be intresting.

You want quiet.... LS1 with LQ9 heads, and a procharger (quiet til you get into it). Or just the LS1 with a tune and quiet (restrictive) exhaust. There has to be better ideas then mine though. I never thought about it before.... I like the rumble of open headers.
