i need a hp/tq estimate for build
i need a hp/tq estimate for build
Got a friend who wants me to to help his car gain a little giddy up... they've destroyed the original l05 tbi system, going from a 305 to 350 and runs terrible, He has given up, and wanting me to help him got carbed...
plan A:
retain stock bottom end and cam, add:
L31 vortecs
Air gap intake
600 holley vac sec..
stock HEI..
and headers
hp/tq?
Plan B:
retain L05 heads/bottom end, add:
Crane zcam: 113501- .432/.459" 206/218 @.050
Air Gap intake
600 holley
stock HEI
and header
hp/tq?
OR plan C:
l31's and cam swap all with others...
If im not mistaking, these stock made 200hp/and 300tq??
looking for the 380tq and approx 260 hp or so??

A stock LO5 HEI won't work with a carb.
Stock cam or stock heads are going to hold back any combo you come up with. Why are you even considering keeping either?
Why a vacuum secondary carb? And why so small?
What Air Gap intake?

As long as what you're asking can be applied to what people would do to a 3rd gen, we'll let the discussion continue.
With that cam (and your application
), a Performer intake would be the better choice.
And, if you couldn't tell already, I'd suggest "Plan C".
