lsx or 383 sbc

hey im alittle torn with swap i should put in my car. im currently have a 350 block board over 30 and looking to build a 383 stoker but having a change of heart because i realy want to build a lsx my questation is whether to wait and build the lsx or stick with the block i got now

Nobody can answer that for you.

The 383 will be less expensive and easier to get running.

LSx will be more expensive, involved, and take more time, but you'll be rewarded with a lighter car, big power potential, and driveability & economy that can't be rivaled for the power.

build the lsx u will never regret it,
worth the cost and time involved.
im going from 10 sec 383 to turbo lsx

IMO, if your looking to stroke the engine, and get the most out of it naturally aspirated, go LSX. However, if you consider boosting the engine, stick with what you have....

thanks guys i really appreciate all of the info. becuase i really want to build the lsx but the money is alittle tight on the project right now but in 2 months i should have the money to build the lsx. but i could save some of the budget buliding the other motor so still alittle confused you no

Go with a LSx. I was going to put a forged 406 in my IROC but now I have decided to go with a 6.0 LSx.
