Re: tbi heads?

The 1987 lg4 and 1987 carbed 350s have a bolt up intake that will work, but your stock pre 87 can be modified to work also. One side of each of the four center holes in the intake need to be slanted outward to line up with the angle on the 87-up heads. The bottom of the hole is in the same location.

Re: tbi heads?

Buy an intake with the "87+" bolt pattern and it will fit just fine.

Unless you have an electric drill and a 3/8" drill bit.

Re: tbi heads?

it has to be stupid easy if im gonna do it but no worrys about the tools i have all i need. is it even worth the effort in the long run when compared to my stock 1985 lg4? i think the vin code on the motor is H. will i be able to run all my stock computer stuff and stock q-jet from the 85 motor with just a intake change or mod?

Or put your LG4 heads on the "new" 305. Then everything will be hunky dory.

But, either way, the LG4 stuff won't have any problem with it. It doesn't have any problem with my 350 (see my vBGarage for details).

Re: tbi heads?

am i actually getting any better with the newer 305 and older heads or am i wasting my life away making the swap? just a couple of years make a difference when it comes to engine blocks when they are both 305's ?
