305 Tbi to 350 TPI, wont start, NEED Help!!!!!

I originally had a 1991 rs with a 305 tbi , and T5. I then bought a 1988 Iroc Z equipped with a 5.7 TPI, 700R4. I swapped the TPI engine into my RS. I swapped the fuel pump, ecu, and the wiring harrness. I turn the key into the on position and the fuel pump turns on and makes this humming sound but it doesnt turn off. I crank the ignition and the engine turns over but it wont start, it just rapidly turns.

Things that I changed: I changed the coil to an accel high performance coil and i changed all the spark plug wires to accel 8.5 mm header wires except for the one that goes to coil to the distributor cap because I lost it. I changed the thermostat housing because it was rusted and when i took off the old one it didnt have a thermostat so I bought one and put it in. I took off all the emissions stuff and put on some hooker shorties headers, took off the ac and smog pump and replaced it with an ac bypass pulley and a smaller belt (https://www.thirdgen.org/serpentine) and I plugged ALL of the lines/hoses that went to the smog stuff up. Oh and i put the TPI to my T5, i dont know if that makes a difference.

the only difference i know of with the t5 / 700r4 ecu is the shift light will not work and the check engine light turns on.

i have the same setup and am looking for the same motor, so let me know what you learn.

did the iroc run? the fuel pressure regulator may not be working, also did you upgrade the fuel lines? the tbi fuel lines are apparantly weak. your going from a 12-15 psi system to a 36+. can you smell gas at the tailpipes when its cranking? have you checked for spark?

mabye a stupid question but is there gas in it? im embarrased to say i rebuilt the carburetor on my 1970 c/10 because i thought it needed it when the tank was bone dry... but in my defense the gas was syphoned out (stolen) and the old school gauge sometimes told me it was empty.

remember there was never a camaro with a 350 TPI and a t5...the corvette guys didnt want the camaro to have a chance out of the box. you might have to get a computer programmed for you specific setup.

The fuel lines up to the engine compartment are the same whether TBI or TPI.

In order for the engine to run, it has to have air, fuel, spark at the right time, and compression. You aren't getting one of those. Air isn't very likely. If it ran before (good question, by the way - did it run before?), compression isn't likely. Spark and fuel are the most likely. How much of the '88 harness did you get? The injectors should have one fuse for each bank - are they good? Your '91 has VATS, the '88 most likely doesn't - cranking is a good indication that something about VATS is working, but it may be preventing ignition power still. https://www.thirdgen.org/vats_passkey_system
