305tpi to a 350tpi
ok im going to have a 87 irocz with the LB9 setup(305) and 700r4 trans. I want to put a vortec 350 that is out of a 99 suburban in it. I want to keep the tpi setup from the iroc and use it in the swap. Besides the intake on the vortec motor is there gonna be any port matching problems or anything that would cost a lot of money to fix? Also would i have to get the computer reprogramed for the added cubic inches?
I forgot to add that i want it to be a good daily driver

You need the Vortec TPI base. Once you have that the ports and bolts will match up.
No "need" for reprogramming, but as usual, it'll probably run better with tweaked programming (but so would the 305).

The vortec truck cam is tiny, just slightly bigger than the TBI peanut cam. You'll want to swap in a TPI or LT1 camshaft at the same time, if you can.
Also, you'll need a new timing chain cover, as the vortec trucks use a plastic one with a cam sensor hole.
Lastly, the vortec heads do not have the port for the EGR, so you might start getting an SES code 32, as well as possibly not passing an emissions test.
