NewHemi
Anyone tried, or considered trying, a 5.7L or 6.1L NewHemi into a thirdgen? I realize the LSx makes it unnecessary, but so what?

Re: NewHemi
It just doesn't scream HP like the old hemi's.
With enough time and money, any swap is possible just to be different.

Re: NewHemi
I would swap a old style 426 hemi into my camaro in a heartbeat! The new hemi doesn't have the HP of the old and its rather disappointing. I remember a motor challenge and it was the all of the production cars power house's from the muscle car era, well the hemi layed it down with like 800hp and 600tq nothing else came close.
Oh and changing plugs would be super easy!

Re: NewHemi
As the 6.1 newhemi can be stroked to 426ci, and comparing that to the original, if both engines had to run 85 octane and pull 18 inches of idle vacuum, the newhemi totally smokes the stupid old original overweight hemi that never could stomp the faster of the 2 ZL1 corvettes.
