So here is the deal. I got a 92 firebird formula that was originally 305 tbi. A previous owner converted it to 305 carb for reasons unknown to me. I want to return back to fuel injection because I am haveing fuel pressure issues (even with a inline pressure regulator installed) but I am and trying to figure out what my best course of action would be. I am futur planning on putting in a different engine so doing the FI conversion would either have to be compatable with going to a 350+CI motor or I would wait to do the conversion untile then. I am wondering is going back to a TBI set up would be the way to go or go with a TPI set up. My other alternative is to go with an aftermarket fuel injection. Let me know what you all think.

 

Tbi systems are very adaptive and tuneable. There are pros and cons to every system. Read Fast's sticky about a budget TBI build.
