Help please

I just bought a 86 Camaro Z-28, and have been doing some research. My research has lead me to believe that the motor in the car is not the original. Because I checked the RPO and it isnt an iroc. It has a carburated 350 in it. My question is how can I find out what year the motor actualy is.

Re: Help please

And what are you wanting to do to it that makes it matter what year the engine is?

You can go to this site....It may lead you to what your engine is.
http://www.nastyz28.com/chevy-engine-code-stampings.php. Good luck. One thing that I find lots of fun, and educational, and inspiring at the same time is to check out the threads on thirdgen.org. You can get just about any kind of education you need for working on your car. Have fun, but expect to spend some time!
