I need to replace the block in my 92 Z28 5.7. Someone is selling a built 350 shortblock out of an 89 Z28. Will this bolt right up? Thanks for the help as this will be my first motor swap.

Why do you need to replace the motor?
Either way, yes it should bolt right in provided the car came with that engine (i.e. it wasn't swap into it from an even earlier model car).

it threw a rod bearing with only 5500 on the motor. f'n sucks. my tranny was shifting way too high an rpm when i was on the loud pedal. thts about the only guess i have on how it could have happened. but i got that fixed and i have an opportunity to buy this 89 l98 shortblock 350 bored to a 357. it is cheaper than what i'd pay to get mine rebuilt.
