Need an anwser ASAP about 305

alright im sire youve seen me asking about the v6 to v8 swap.
i found a guy who has a rebiult 305 witha 5 speed t5 tranny and he will sell them to me for $850 is that a good deal?

Probably - but if it were me swapping, I'd wait until I had the funds to go to a 350.

i love my 305 and im building it up but everything i buy will also work in a 350 for when i make that switch.
i have to agree - if you are going from a 6 to an 8 make it a 350.

considering I got my 350 block for $45, and would have been $129 for a complete motor if I wanted it, I'd look for a 350.

there could be depending on mods and condition of the motor. the 350 TPI's did pretty well on gas mileage. But gas mileage will go poopie real quick once you start modifying it with things like cam, heads, etc. if the car isn't a daily driver, it may be worth it to just build it how YOU want and nevermind the MPG; that's how I'm doing the 305 in my TA.
