400 sbc
im getting a 400 sbc from my grandpa and i was wondering if there was a distributor that i could buy to use the stock tach or if the stock 350 distributor would work with the 400. thanks Ty.

The tach just connects to the "minus" terminal of the coil, so it doesn't really matter what distributor you use as far as the tach is concerned.
However, what "stock 350" distributor are you talking about?

i have a 350 tbi out of a 89 c/k 1500 and it has the original wires for it so i figured that it was a stock distributor. its a LO5 350.

The LO5 distributor will only work with an EFI system. Are you planning on keeping the TBI, or going to a carburetor?
