hi well i have a 305tpi in my stock 87 iroc camaro and well i need more power and i was going buy a base zz383 but tht is expensive with a exhuast rear end suspension upgrade and brakes.

so i was going buy the 350/290hp engine from gmpp and was going do what they did in chevy high performance june 07. and you can see what they added here http://www.gmperformanceparts.com/_r..._CrateThis.pdf

i figure i can keep up with other lightly modded camaros like ls1's if i do what chevy high performance did and added the stealth ram intake. i figure i will get about 430hp with the stealth ram intake. how much rwhp is tht? do you know any other strongly power effective component upgrades on top of the others?

do you think a 12 yr old with little help and no mechanic experience can put together the engine but have a shop remove and install the engines and do all the wiring and tuning?

i was going do 3.73 gears but i was told top speed might be limited to 135mph or so and wht gear should i get that more evens out acceleration and top speed? i want something that'll get me atleast 160mph but still good acceleration. can this engine be supercharged and be able to use a 100 shot of nitrous without worring blowin anything?

how long will it take me to put together the engine if i wasnt destracted and if i had all the books i need? what 0-60 and quarter mile times should i expect with decent gears? i want it to try to keep up with a new c6 corvette in the quarter. also what suspension upgrades would you recomend me to get?

so how much will it be for the ENGINE, full exhuast system, rear end, engine components from the mag i showed, full stealth ram system, suspension, decent brakes, and everything to get the engine started and running perfect? also what books do you recommned? i have a haynes manual and a bunch of new car mags that cover from classics to new. please tell me all the books you think that will help me with connection componets, best power jumps, stealth ram system installation and all that. also how much are tires that i will need? i have P245/50R16 P6S tires are these good enough to start with?

also how much is it to get my current engine removed then the new 350 installed, exhuast system installed, rear axle installed, suspension parts installed, and have a shop install wires, do tuning, and all the super complex stuff.

what im trying to acheve here is to have my camaro beat most everyday lightly modded v8 f-bodies, more on the stock side c5 corvettes and maybe c6's, modded mustangs, and even those pesky ricers even with upgraded turbos. i want my camaro to be more for stoplight races but still be able to beat the ricers and atleast mustangs on the freeway's and highway's. i dont care about gas milege but money is a nice thing to have and im not going buy something that wont last long or make much of a diffrece. and safely last thing i want to do is crash and hurt my baby. IM LUV STRUCK WITH HER! lol. and i want my car to when you full throttle her for every1 in the car to be like HOLY SHEET! SLOW DOWN! i already scare my friend with just the stock engine he'll probaly crap himself now with the 350.

also i have the the 4st spd 700R4 tranny, everything runs perfect, 27k miles also what i mean by the stealth ram "system" is the one that comes with the throttle body and everything else i just dont know what system i need. also i would like to get mostly new parts.

1 more thing will my engine sound like its got power to it or will it sound week and quite? i would love to have it sound like a carbed big block v8 of even a powerful carbed small block v8. will it sound like my current 305tpi? my stock exhuast over powers the sound of the engine and mine has no rumble to it. also i would like to add the supercharger if its safe and with the engine swap will it auto matically alow me to use a supercharger and what do i do since it will no longer be a tpi? yes i would like to keep a/c. also will my body flex because she has t-tops that im also going keep.

WILL THIS PASS EMISSIONS IN OREGON? what do i do if it wont? what will i have to cut out of the project?

so please give me your opinions and how much this will cost me around for what i mentioned and what you recommend.

for a first time engine build....plan on a solid 2 week just to be safe. As far as haveing a shop do the swap,wiring and tuneing....man your probly lookin at close to 4 grand in labor...but ya never know unless you talk to them....i know when i was in school in NC i went to a local shop to get a t56 swap and they wanted 3500...so i kept the auto
