Ok here is what i have. I have a 91RS, 700r4, shift kit, whatever other goodies tend to rip your head off at shifts, 9bolt 3.27, 305TBI. The 305 has to go. I'm looking for 300+RWHP.
What is the most reliable as far as a daily driver and economical? I'm looking to get atleast the same gas milage as i have now which isn't good for this tired old beast i have. The motor thats in there is an 85 longblock 305. The rest is from the 91 i *think*. I know the LT1 would be great except i'm not all that good with the port injection units, haven't studied up on them too much. I'm still tossing up ideas on whether to build an older style 350? I need the good economical abilities since i'm in college and what not...Let me know of some possible combos. Again. the motor will need to hold up in daily driver/romping on.
