Ive never heard of this engine before, I thought the 327s died in '68. Or are you refering to the new 5.3Litres in the trucks?

Sorry.. this is cross-posted from another thread...I haven't seen this problem at www.thirdgen.org in quite awhile.
Yes, their is a NEW 327 based on the LS-2 (6.0L iron version of the LS-1). They are found in the new trucks.
Regarding the swap.. it would involve the same things as if you were to swap an LS-1 or LS-2.

why not just go with a standard 350 with Vortec heads? it would probably be a lot easier of a swap, was for me. i simply swapped topend with the dif block. plus im pretty sure can coax more power out of the 350 version,
(350-400hp)
unless you wanna try something different?
thats a cool idea if thats the case.
good luck,
Jeremy

Yes I think he is talking about the 5.3 liter in the new trucks. That would not be a bad motor to put into your F-body considering they put out 285hp. I don't think it would be any different than swapping in an LS1. Not that I have done that swap or know anyone that has but I am sure someone on here has seen it done.
