400 over heating?
do the 400 really have that big of a over heating problem? I know that the center cylinders touch but, gm mad them for some time.
Not really. The people who have problems either do not increase cooling capacity as you should when you increase displacement and power, or get the block cleansed of the rust in the water jackets.
I am probably the biggest 400 small block nut you will ever meet.I have ran them for around 10 years and as long as I can find them I still will.I have had a couple that like to run around 200 in traffic but they were .040 over, but other than those I cannot tell much diffrence over a 350 temp.

I plan on getting one in the morning and was just wondering if I would have much for problems. I think it is a 79 2 bolt
