I read in one CHP magazine that there finally is a 350 smog legal replacement for an '87 carbed 305. But it's only for automatic transmission. I lived in CA and I want to stay legal with my car emmissions. I own it new and it's time to put more power into it and I was thinking of 350 engine. I called a dealer (PN: 10185077) and they told me that all I will need is a new chip. How true?
