Anyone who has switched from a carbed motor to a TPI motor....
I currently have an 84 Camaro sport coupe with a carbureted 305 (LG4). I have recently pulled out a 350 TPI motor out of an 89 Trans Am GTA and a 305 TPI motor out of an 85 IROC. I took the engine harnesses and computers out of both. I even took the dash harness from the IROC. I will be putting in the 350, and using parts from the 305 if necessary. My questions are:
1. Are the dash harnesses between TPI and Carb different in any way? Will I need to replace mine?
2. What have you guys done with the fuel situation - did you just use a stock TPI tank with the pump inside? Did you use the TPI fuel lines, or order new ones? If so, where?
3. What else am I going to need? Any other problems I may come across? ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.
