Carbed turbo's were 78-83 and with the amount of work involved it would not be worth it performance wise.It would make an interesting swap though.

Ok,two things
1.I've never heard of or seen anyone performing this swap before and I have limited knowledge of the carbed turbo motors.I do know that you will have to have a custom downpipe made up and that you would have to modify the harness to merge with yours. Also, there is a black box that controls the knock retard on the 78-83 TR's that you will have to use,and these are getting hard to come by if it dosent come with the motor.Other than that I think TTA motor mounts would work fine and the motor should fit right in.
2.I see your from Brooklyn, drop me a line if you wanna meet up and discuss this further.I'd be very interested in how this swap would come along.I'm in the process of swapping in an 87 intercooled motor right now into my 89 GTA and like I said, never seen this swap done before but sounds interesting.
