yeah yeah i know about the swap, and what im looking at, but i have the motor and its running and its 290hp stock , so , and when im done hopefully about 350 or more with not even spending a grand, my guestion is im backing the motor up with a 350 pontiac tranny, do i really need to use steve sphons crossmember or could i make the old one work, allso anyone ever used the f-body change over kit for the 350 tranny like from summit and jegs, the picture doesnt so much. not sure what all comes in the kit ????
if anyone ever done the swap , how hard was it ? im talking about the tranny

 

To start off, I would ASSUME the BOP TH350 is the same length as a chevy TH350. So that should get you back to needing a DS from an 82 FB or camaro. I bought the kit from summit for the th350. The kit replaces one bolt in the tailshaft with a stud and the bracket uses 2 other tailshaft bolts to hold the TQ arm. Its not hard to install. If you have access to a welder and some skill with it. You could make your own easily. The directions are easy to follow, You wont have a problem with installing it.
