When I bought my Firebird, It was not running. The previous owner said it was locked up. He said it was running in his driveway when he went inside to get something, came back out and it was not running. I tried to start the car and it seems to turn over but will not start. Does anyone know what is wrong?

im not the best mechanic but a few of my problems with a car not starting have been..

-Bad Distributor, turned over all day, but wouldnt start.

-Way out of time

-Timing chain non-existant.


Get a haynes manual for $15 and start checkin things out ie. bad fuel pump, bad this or that.

 

Try your fuel regulator or the fuse for the fuel pump, same thing happened to my car, but it was the fuel regulator.
