For the record, trucks didn't get 350's until the 1968 model year.

But, basically, the mounts/bellhousings were all the same.

Re: 350 build

Hi i have a 91 rs 305 5 speed. I am supposed to get a 1969 bone stock 350 complete minus carb for free. I am in CA so im worried about the block have provisions for smog pump. Anyone? I am also worried ill fry the tranny. The engine runs but the man (my 70 year old hotrodder neughbor) said it has a bita smoke in the morning piston rings im guessing but he says it ***** and gits after warmed up. I am going to go 30 over with hyper pistons trick flow smog legel heads smog cam headers edelbrock tbi intake turbo city tbi and get a 350 tbi ecu and custom chip. Im guessing power output at around 300-350. Will my tranny handle this? is there any other things i should know? this car will see the track but not a straight one. ps its a convertable. Will i have problems with twisting the unibody frame from this amount of power? oh and power estimate is at the fly no wheels. THANKS!
