Block Differences
Block Differences
What's the difference between an 88 GTA 350 Block and a 92 350 block? I have a guy that will sell me an 88 with a spun bearing complete minus intake for 250. Just wondering if it'd be worth it as I'm planning a 383 buildup for my 92.

They may be slightly different casting since GM seems to update castings over the years to improve or change different areas but basicly it's the same block.

Thanks guys. So do you think it's worth it? Here's his description.
Stock 100k mile L98 longblock from my GTA consists of: block, all internals, heads, valvetrain, oil pan, etc. The #3 large-end rod bearing spun, which caused the piston to slap the head.
Any input appreciated. It's Steve88GTA's old engine.
