Pinion angle???

I'm putting a ford 9" in my '84 Z28 w/ a 454....probaly a tremec tko 5 speed...
I dont have the tranny...or the motor in the car...I need to know if anyone knows what my pinion angle should be set at...from plumb.
Or for some FYI does anyone know where the crank center line sits with this swap?

You don't set it from plum, you set it from the drive shaft angle relative to the rearend.

Around -3 degrees is a good compromise between off the line traction and long u-joint life.

It may vary some, but more than -4 is real hard on the u-joints and nowhere around zero or positive is good.

I know that the angle of it comes relative the driveshaft...but I was hoping to put the rearend in the car before the motor and tranny are ready. Therefore I dont yet have a driveshaft....

88 427 Camaro...do you know how many degrees your rear is tipped from plumb?
