For the moderators...

...this is a great message board and I spend a lot of time here gathering info on my car and trying to help others. I was just wondering why this forum is titled 'motor' swap when actually 'engine' swap would be much more appropriate? A motor is a device that transforms electrical energy into mechanical energy, d a m n my electromagnetism prof would be proud to hear this. If any of us were actually swapping one of these in place of our gas guzzling, tire frying internal combustion engines we would certainly need to be straight jacket bound. I am not trying to nit-pick, and don’t think I believe that your not doing a bang-up job with this board, I was just wondering if there is a reason for this?

Dont ask me, I didnt pick the name. Does it bother you that much?
I could ask about changing it if you really want me to, but its not something I can fix. That would be Dirk who would have to do that.

I like this site too. Its been through some rough times and quite a few trolls and other worthless people, but is still here.

Hmm...Must be why we have Ford MOTOR Company, Ford MOTORsport, Bavarian MOTOR Works (BMW), General MOTORS (GM) and others...A motor and an engine are the same thing...regardless of whether it is electric ot internal cumbustion powered...

I'm not too worried about it, I just wondered if there was a reason.

TL- if you want to go around talking about your cars 'motor' I'm not going to stop you. I just think using the word 'engine' makes it sound like you actually know what a spark plug does.

Sorry to cause a stir.
