rods for 383?


i am building a 383 stroker from a stock 350 block and i don't know what all i need to convert it with. i know that i need new rods but i don't know what size and i don't know what other things i need to change. any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks

You can use your stock 350 rods, but you might be better off getting aftermarket ones. They will cause less clearance problems from what I've heard. I'm using stock rods and I hit a water jacket doing relief work on my first block!!

If you are going with new rods, might as well step up to the 6" rod 383 stroker kit.

It'll make more power and won't wobble the piston in the bore as much at high rpm.

I am currently building a 383 right now.
i am using 5.7" rods that I ground on the rod bolt area, and i am having the machine shop clearance the block while they do the other work.
