96 LT1 Fuel pump transfer to 89??

I am about to undergo(few weeks) a LT1 swap in the 89 ROC. It has a 305TBI so, it ofcourse needs a fuel pump upgrade also. My question is, can I use the 96 fuel pump(is the 96 intank or external?) or do I need to buy a aftermarket unit? Also, if I need a aftermarket pump, what is the a brand and GPH to go with...(LT1 might be supercharged next year)?

Thanks,
MM

Hey, I did the LT1 swap, and I dont think the '96 pump will work. if I remember correctly, the new one is all one unit with the fuel sender. all I did was replace the TBI pump with a new TPI one, it cost like $50 from NAPA, dont worry about an aftermarket pump, that will supply about 50 PSI

------------------
-'92 RS with self-installed '95 LT1
-Heddman Headers
-TPIS throttle body airfoil
-MSD 6-AL Ignition
Kills
-'97 Mustang Cobra
-'98 V6 Camaro
-'89 5.0 ****stang
-'97 Sebring
-'96 ****stang Cobra

Losses
-'99 Mustang GT
-'96 Mustang Cobra
-'95 Z28 (good race)
-'96(?) Turbo Eclipse (d*mn good race, heavily modified)
