Stupid Rookie Mistake-Please Help.

I was swapping out my stock 4BBL intake manifold for an Edlbrock Performer RPM the other day and needless to say, I had to remove the distributor. But, I forgot to mark the position of the distributor in relation to the intake. How do I re-install the distributor in the correct position without messing up my timing real bad? Thanks for any answers.

Easiest basically stick it in as close to where you had it as far as coil wire position and take the cap off then remove spark plug #1 have someone bump it over till you got pressure on that cyl. just stick your finger in and you'll know then look where the rotor is then put the cap on you will see which is going to be #1 on the cap then put it all together and crank it you may have to spin the dist. a lil to get it right but it'll get ya there.
