Would a 305 computer support this?
Would a 305 computer support this?
OK, I'm not asking if I should do this, I'm asking if I did do it...
Lets say I get my hands on a 305 Camaro, IROC, Z-28, RS, or SC doesn't much matter for the purpose of this question. (I know where I can get my hands on a 91 RS if the greedy bastard that owns it will come down a little on the price)
OK, back to the question.
Will the stock computer support a 327, swapped in place of the 305?
Would the TPI (IROC, Z-28) or the TBI (RS, SC) be enough to feed a 327?
If I would need to make mods to either what would they be?
------------------
'86 Camaro SC 2.8 V6, 5spd, T-Tops
Mods:
(Performance)
Flowmaster cat back exhaust
(Non-Performance)
Pioneer DEH-P4000 head unit
Pioneer 6X9 Tri-Ax speakers
Jensen 8" dual voice coil sub
Blacked out tail lights and side markers (VHT
Nightshades spray tint)

someone can correct me if im wrong...but i believe a 327 is more of a high revving motor, or can be made to rev high easily, while TPI by design is a low rpm torque monster
something to consider or research more

I don't see any problems with a 327 in place. Maybe a bump in fuel pressure... A custom PROM would give you a little more edge. You need to select a good cam for the TPI combo and the 327 ability to spin... I'm trying to find a good flat tappet with trick flows and stock TPI for a 355 so I need help in this dept myself.
