about to call jegs for an engine

i just need final comformation if the 350 vortec is a good investment. i am questioning the durability factoring in how it may be driven. i'm not sayin that i'm going to tear it up, but i just want to know how many years i'd expect before i'd have to replace it.

also emissions may not be a problem with a good cat. i plan to have headers an no egr obviously.

gas mileage may not be that bad either right? i plan to have a t-56 installed with the vortec. my 3.73 gear will take some away. i'm getting an aluminium driveshaft and 600cfm edelbrock off of my lg4.

am i doing the right thing? is it worth the money?

i believe most of the new or rebuilt motors from gm come with a 3/36k warranty, but I could be wrong.

I think as long as you dont touch any of the internals the warranty is still good. but call gm to find out or whoever you are getting it from.
