I have found a 5.7 liter 350 TPI out of a 89 Trans Am. How hard would it be to put it into my 92 Firebird with a 5.0 liter 305 TBI?


Also what would I need to pull out of the 89 along with the engine?

Pull out everything attached to the intake - air inlet & filter, harnesses, fuel lines, throttle cables, distributor, sensors, etc.

Then crawl inside and pull the ECM. You'll be inside there anyway to get the engine-to-ECM harness disconnected at the pass-through.

Don't cut anything!

Then jack it up in back and drop the tank to get the fuel pump.
