Crate or buildup?

Hey guys,

Time for a 350, I was originally going to build one from the ground up, but finding a good block around here isn't as easy as it would seem, so I started thinking about a crate or at least a long block, I want to do my own cam/intake, If I can get a solid bottom end then I'll be good to go, any suggestions? good crates? good long blocks?
What about the ZZ4 short block?, what are some specs on it?
