I got a 91 rs with 305 tbi and just got a tahoe 350 engine to swap with. my questions are.
will the 350 tahoe engine go in and work fine?(its a late 90"s tahoe)
can the trottle body from the 305 work on the 350?
If i got change the trottle body intake whats some good ones to put on adn headers to go with it?
any advice would be helpful

 

The motor is a smallblock chevy, everything is mostly interchangable. It's getting your fuel injection to work with it that will be frustrating.

You'll likely need a new knock sensor, a new tune, bigger injectors and a few other things to help it get recalibrated.

Also, if it's not a Vortec Tahoe, then you can use your stock intake but it's gonne be fairly slow. If it's a vortec Tahoe (96-98 or so), then you'll need a new intake to fit the Vortec intake ports. The 906/062/060 heads, or Vortec heads, have a special intake port shape that is incompatible with regular smallblock chevy intakes.

 

ok its not a vortec. so should things go in without problems? i have a freind that has done them before but this is my only car and i really dont wanna do this swap then the car not run or mess up
