hey, i've been looking on the web for a long time and just couldn't find what i'm looking for so i thought i'd come here because all of you seem very knowledgable. If i was planning on taking a 92 z28 camaro and redoing it and making it fast as hell. i'd be buying a new engine or getting one of a wrecked car, so how much would around a 300 or 350 horsepower engine cost me??? And then i don't know if the transmission and/or drivetrain could handle it, would i have to have them replaced too, if so how much would this cost??? if the gear ratio wasn't already 3something to 1 i'd want to get it set like that, so how much would that cost??? I'm being serious and i'm really looking for answers and this seemed like the best place to come, thanks

 

to get 300 to 350 hp out of a 350 if you build it is very cheap but if you do what i am doing currently, putting a 350 already built its going to cost you about 2200 for the engine up depending the hp and the stuff it is made of, i bought the 350 Ho 330hp and costs about 1000 more for all the extra parts. and for the transmission you can buy rebuild kits that can hold over 500hp out of the 700r4 auto for about 600 dollars and for cost for instuallation i dont really know but probably find out soon but i do not know about the manuel trans.
