Question about swapping
I may be able to get ahold of a Chevy 302, but I was wondering what all would I have to change for it to fit in my car?? (eg. Would I have to change the driveshaft, tranny, motor mounts, etc.)

Assuming you're talking about a '67-'69 Camaro Z28 302, the dipstick will be driver's side and the crank will be two-piece rear main seal design.
Details like water pump length may be different, but your '87 part will bolt up to it. The driveshaft, tranny & motor mounts will bolt right up as well. If it really is an old Z28 302, your bigger issues are going to be how to make that rev-loving beast happy in your 3rd gen with its automatic, highway gears, etc. What were you planning on doing for induction?

Just found out some more on the old 302 and how they like to rev high and require high octane gas. I think I might go with a 350 or 383 instead, but thanks for the reply.
