ok, i'm planning on swapping out my v6 eventually. i don't even know where to begin with an engine swap, other than with finding an engine, so i found an assembled 383 short block for $1,295 at www.speedomotive.com . the price seems pretty low, even though i don't know much about motor shopping. anyway, if anyone can give me some info on this engine, it would be appreciated it. thanks.

shortblock is the block pistons rods and crank. you spent 1300.
now you need a good set of heads. spend at LEAST 800 there.
still need
cam lifters pushrods intake carb(or some form of induction) distributor rockers and those chrome valve covers(worth 35 hp on a 383)

im just making sure u are aware of what a shortblock is....
