383 shortblocks with warranty?

I called some local rebuild shops...and they all say that they wouldnt offer a warranty of any kind on a 383 engine...because it is a racing engine....does anyone know of a place online that sells 383 shortblocks (with forged pistons and crank) and come with a warranty? If I cant find any...I'll get a rebuilt 355. The guys I talked to said they would assemble it with parts I provide (forged parts) and could give me a 6 month warranty.....but I am really leaning toward the 383.....or....on the extreme end...how hard would it be to build a 383 myself...and what would I have to have the machine shop do to the block? Since I wont be getting warranty on a 383 I build myself (except maybe warranty on parts)...then maybe it'll be cheaper than buying a 383 crate with no warranty.....any suggestions would be appreciated..thanks.
