Okay, the search netted 157 matches, but I still have some questions. I have the VATS with the little chip in the key. If I remove the TPI harness, and ECM, will this affect the VATS, will I still be able to start my car? I still don't understand the fuel pump relay/ oil pressure switch deal. THis is a 91Z, where is the relay, and can I bypass the oil switch w/o going to mech. gauge?
For the pro TPI guys, this will eventualy be a full on drag car, so the carb is better for my situation in my opinion. I don't want to cut and hack up the harness, or as little as possible so I may go back to TPI later if need be. (No emissions testing yet)I am starting on this swap this weekend, so any and all help would be most appreciated. If you feel the need to flame, fine, I have done my share. Its about time I get some back. But I do need real info also.

you will be able to start you car. the vats only tell your TPI ecm to turn the injectors "on" and fuel ump on and also starter enable relay. you will need to rewire your starter solenoid.
