i just picked up an 85 z28 the motor is gone but i have a 305 non tpi out of an 1980 camaro i want to put in for the time being. i know it will fit but as for the trans i've heard i need the non computerized lock up kit for it since i will not be using the computer. is this true? also where can i get one i have found a few diff. kinds but not sure which one to use tpi performance has a kit but just wanna make sure it will work before ordering it thanks
