Installed C5 brakes, eradispeed rotors, and braided steel lines with Ed's brackets.

Got my machined engine parts from Watt, been assembling in my garage, figured I'd post up some pics.
Aluminum block, 4.151" bore, 4" stroke.
Prepping the thrust bearing on a granite block

More thrust prep, scotchbriting the bearings. Nice crosshatch pattern.

Oiling mod to oil the major thrust surface of the crank so the crank will live while the motor is building boost on the transbrake

All the main bearings done

leftover ring filings. Sure took a long time to file all those rings!

The block. A little cap walk, but it's an old block and has seen many rebuilds. Well seasoned! 4 bolt splayed Cleveland mains, roller cam bearings, bronze lifter bushings.

4" stroke lunati pro series crank. Gun drilled mains, gun drilled crank pins, contoured knife edged counterweights, internally balanced for some serious rpm!

Crank sitting in the block.

Mains torqued to 90/70 with ARP moly lube.

Got some more done, thought I'd post up some more pics.
Pistons, rings, tools, etc.

Assembled piston on rod. Arias pistons, oliver rods with ARP 5.3 bolts

Piston in the block, cam installed

Cam card

Installing the balancer

Degreeing the cam

Checking piston to valve clearance - valves barely hit the clay.

Ready for the other 7 pistons

Checking rod bolt stretch, aiming for .0058"-.0062". This one didn't quite make it, had to back it off and out a little more on it the next time.

Oilpan on. Block has external oil return for less windage losses. Turbo oil return on the side of the pan as well as and the external pump feed.

Put the heads on tonight.
Cometic head gaskets. Only the top set of water holes are used, I plugged the block on the bottom row. Make sure you check the rivet locations to make sure they don't hit the block, I had to remove the rear passenger side rivet on my setup.

First pass with rustoleum chrome paint.

Second pass with copper coat.

Heads torqued down! Note the adapter plates bolted to the front and back of the valley rails. They are needed because of the raised intake ports on these heads so the intake will seal.

Got a couple mockup pics with everything there... ported super victor intake, 90mm throttle body and elbow, 1 7/8" x 3" stainless turbo headers, distributor.

looks great!
Im actually in the process of throwing a 521 BBF into my 1987 formula 350.
Ive had to do a ton of fab tho... the BBF is a long motha! Your build is alittle crazier than mine to... mines a simple 521, 10.5:1 compression, MAHLE forged flat tops, Eagle Hbeam rods, eagle crank, lunati 240/246 cam with .600 lift. Looking for eldelbrock RPM heads with 95cc chambers. Ive got a professional products balancer, procomp aluminum water pump, recurved duraspark, MSD street fire box, ford racing swap rear sump oil pan with pickup and high volume pump. But ive got the C6 to rebuild and lots of fabbing done.
I had to move the motor mounts back 3" to the firewall, then fab up my own motor mounts (block side) for another 1/2" of offset to push the motor back. (this is bc the crank snout is so long on the BBF that the balancer/crank would hit the wonderbar/front sway bar) I then had to clearance the firewall a whole bunch to clear the trans/back of the block. Im still in the process of relocating the gas pedal. But i just got the radiator done... i had to use a summit universal ford rad 31x19, but do to the lower driver side inlet and the power steering box I had to relocate the radiator down 2" and push it into the pass side front subframe about 2". With all that done it should just drop right in lol.
Interesting to see when u start to try and make it fit and how your going to get around most of this. post pics, ill start making my thread soon as well but i wanted to get some work done on it first. glad to see im not the only one!
