3800 series 2 Supercharged V6 In a 3rd Gen?
I was just wondering the details on a swap like this and the pros and cons. Is it even worth it? What transmission? Same motor mounts as a GN v6?

Pros: More power with better mileage than most V8s.
Cons: Leaks engine oil onto the exhaust manifolds and starts fires. Also leaks engine coolant into the engine oil because of intake manifold and gasket problems.
Shall I say more?

Good info. Im asking because I found a used motor with wire harness and ecm for 400. Has decent miles as well. i want to swap a LQ4 but obviously that would cost a lot more than 400 dollars. What transmission could be used?

since it's a FWD engine the starter is probably on the drivers side of the block. You would need to use a trans from a 3800 4th gen Fbody, 98 or newer. Motor mounts will be different than the old 3.8 RWD blocks.
You do know that the throttle body will be aimed directly at the firewall right?
you are going to spend a lot more than $400 to get this to work, chances are that it's oil pan won't clear the Fbody cross member. You'll either have to modify it or pick up a tubular crossmember.

ok good info, the price is great but you are right it would probably cost too much. I was just curious.

put the intake on backwards then the TB is foward and the top hose is on the front of the motor then make a side shaft drive for the charger
