429 HP LT1 into 91 305 TPI??!!

I have a 91 Z28 with a 305 TPIwith a rebuilt 700R4 tranny. I am looking into doing some major engine work like heads, cam, intake, gears, and computer. That will run me liek $3500. That is the same price as the LT1 Hot Cam Engine from GM. It has 429 horsepower. I have heard that this is a straight swap. I am wondering what that means. Do i need to purchase any thing other that the engine? I am still in the beginning phases of learning about this so all that u can tell me will be helpful. Thanks

It's not a straight swap, you still have to buy or make a wiring harness also do the power sterring lines, fuel lines, notch your cross-member, relocate the ecm, work the vats (passkey II) issue, fabricate the air intake however you can use your tpi setup and modify the passenger side motor mount.

It took me 8 days, 10-12 hours a day alone to do this swap ...it's very doable if you put some time into it.

if you need help tell me or e-mail me.

same thing applies as my last post, you will have to install a painless wiring harness in your car since yours is caburated...
