I am building a 355 for my '83Z, and I am thinking about putting Comps Magnum 280 or 270 in it. I am not running a computer, so that is not a problem. Do you suggest one over the other, for my application. This will be a daily driver. Also, do you think it is needed to switch to screw in studs?

 

Neither. I would suggest you look at the 'Extreme' line of cams offered by Comp Cams. The Magnum is a very old series from the '70s.

 

I was strongly leaning towards one of those...how does everyone else feel about the magnum series?
